Yesterday, I was out and about (had to go to the grocery store) when I happened across a house with signs out front indicating honey for sale.  I thought about it for a second and then pulled my car over to check it out.  To my suprise as I pulled in the driveway there was no honey on the table out front, so I shut off my car and walked up towards the front door. All of a sudden an old man appeared through the side door and yelled for me to come over, so i did.

To my delight I spent close to an hour learning about Bees, Honey, Pollination, Types of Flowers, and other varying factors critical to the efficient maintenance of bee hives.  What an experience.  I even indulged in samples of over 6 different kinds of honey! I ended up buying over 10lbs of Honey (4 different kinds!) but could not feel better about the purchase.  It’s organic, local, and has already done wonders to clear up my allergies!  Below I have attached a bunch of links that will help you get more familiar with Beekeeping and the art of producing honey.
